Licensed Museum Products

The Museum of New Mexico Foundation's licensing program was established in 1998 to help generate revenues to support exhibitions and education programs at the four museums that comprise the Museum of New Mexico.

Each of the four museum's collections are distinct and impressive in their own right, but considered together the breadth and depth of their offerings are enormous, and west of the Mississippi, unrivaled. From textiles and furniture, jewelry, toys, and ceramics to basketry and pottery, photographs, paintings and sculpture, the collections are as rich and varied as the region's international history. Taking inspiration from these collections, manufacturers develop unique products for which they pay the museum a royalty or percentage of the wholesale price.

From this arrangement, the Museum of New Mexico earns additional revenue and gains nationwide exposure through the manufacturers' extensive marketing and distribution channels. Manufacturers gain access to historical, artistic and cultural objects from all over the world from which they take inspiration for product development.
